The simplicity of this blend is part of its appeal. Every note is a cooling oil that legitimately will cause your skin to tingle. While I doubt the Dwimorberg Pass through the dark mountains smelled like this, I wanted to simulate that cold feeling of dread when Gimli is swatting at wispy spirits and finds they're walking on skulls of the fallen.

Top Note: Lime. Of all citruses, lime is the chilliest, and it adds a tang to the eucalyptus and peppermint. If those two on their own were chilling, then lime takes it to the teeth-chattering level. I picture this note as sharp icicles, beautiful but dangerous.
Middle Note: Eucalyptus Dives. This particular kind of Eucalyptus is adept at opening the sinuses and providing a cool awareness to focus the mind. Keep your senses alert. There's a reason 'the way is shut'.
Base Note: Peppermint. While peppermint isn't really a base note, it's the deepest note in this particular blend and is the classic cooling essential oil. It's fantastic for headaches and soothing away tension. Be careful it doesn't lull you into complacency in the depths of the Pass!
